The President of the biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak said about the new addition to the women’s team.
With the new season in the Ukrainian national team will play 21-year-old Darya Blashko, previously represented Belarus. Blaško has already proved himself at the German Championships in summer biathlon, and now Brynzak has confirmed its entry into Ukraine.
“Yes, indeed, Darya Blashko made a decision that she will go to the national team of Ukraine. It is not included in the Belarusian national team, there was no adequate financial support, so she decided to seek refuge elsewhere.
Now it is ready with a backup command for private money that are allocated by the sport club for which she acted in the championship of Germany.
In official competitions until she can’t speak. Currently Blashko is in the process of acquiring citizenship, and as soon as the documents we turn to the Belarusian Federation with an official letter, and we will continue to wait for an answer”, – quotes the words of Brynzak “XSPORT”.
If the biathlon Federation of Belarus will meet Ukraine, Blaško at the official level their new country can present only in 2019.
Darya Blashko is a two-time world Junior champion and Junior winner of the Crystal globe in the IBU Cup. In the adult world Cup, the newly minted Ukrainian in the 2015-2016 season on the world Cup in Canmore took a record of 48-th place.
