System requirements of Total War: Warhammer II

Although the engine of the game is the same as in the first part, the sequel is somewhat different.

Studio Creative Assembly announced the system requirements strategy Total War: Warhammer II and explained what kind of performance will provide a different “iron”.

So, the minimum configuration expected performance is 25-35 fps in “low” quality graphics and 1280×720 on the campaign map in the battles of “1 on 1” battle groups “20 for 20”. The configuration is as follows:

– operating system: Windows 7 (64-bit);
– processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 3 GHz;
– RAM: 4 GB or 5 GB (for integrated graphics, for example, Intel ® HD);
– video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, AMD Radeon HD 5770 or Intel HD 4000;
– video memory: 1 GB;
– free space on hard disk: 60 GB.

The expected performance for recommended configurations: 45-55 frames per second, graphics quality default high resolution of 1920×1080. For a game with such settings need more productive equipment:

– operating system: Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 (64-bit);
– processor: Intel Core i5-4570 processor 3.2 GHz;
– RAM: 8 GB;
– video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R9 270X;
– memory: 2 GB;
– free space on hard disk: 60 GB.

Finally, if you want to play on “ultra” at 1080p and 60 frames per second, you will have to get a processor Intel Core i7-4790K processor with a clock frequency of 4 GHz and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with 8 GB memory.

They also separately mentioned the use of the following technologies:

– improved lighting distribution in screen space (SSAO);

– a new system of volumetric fog, making the air more dense to create the effect of three-dimensional light;

– new filter field;

– improved handling of wet surfaces in relation to specific models and their features.

Total War: Warhammer II is the second part of a trilogy that will offer a combination of large-scale battles in real time with a fascinating global strategy on the management of state policy, to create and strengthen their own Empire.
