25-year-old Jackson Holman left without legs after a plane crash with the Brazilian football team “Epicoene”, returned to the field and scored a goal in a friendly game. The plane with the team “Epicoene” on their way to the final match of South American Cup, crashed in the Northwest of Colombia, the night of 29 November 2016. Onboard there were 77 people, of whom six survived.
The aviation security Department of Colombia concluded that the crash was caused by a mistake of the pilot Miguel Kiragu and improper actions of the Bolivian airline LaMia. The Bolivian government is also blamed for the accident at Kiragu and airline.
According to the decision of the continental football Confederation, “Epicoene” recognized as the winner of the South American Cup in 2016.
