The artist has a great imagination.
Unfortunately, time does not stand still, and the years take their toll. And as regrettable as it may sound, but old age comes to everyone. But that’s only to say on this topic is quite irrelevant, especially when it comes to comics and cartoons, where the characters are loved by many eternally young, high-spirited and vigorous. But the Russian artist Chow decided to play the situation differently. In his ironic series of works called “Retired” it showed how look older superheroes who, after retirement, enjoy the behind-the-scenes life in the role of ordinary people.
The illustrations by Lesja you can see life as it is. After all, superheroes are people too. And nothing human is alien to them. So, for example, the elderly, the Joker, still remembering the dashing youth, putting on lipstick standing in front of the mirror, and Harley Quinn from desperate girls have become exemplary grandmother, who bakes cakes on the weekends with her granddaughter. Spider-man was a knitter, and restless Flash even in his old age continues to be naughty, “fleeing” from the cute nurse on a wheelchair. Older Iron man without losing the ardor and passion, spending his evenings surrounded by cute girls, and girlfriends Wonder woman and Supergirl nibble sunflower seeds, sitting on benches, chatting about life.
