In the Kherson region, in the waters of the Kakhovka reservoir on Thursday, October 5, drowned propelled barge Alexander Zhitnik, from which the water spilled petroleum products. This was reported by press service of the Department of protection, use and recreation of water biological resources and regulation of fisheries in the Kherson region.
It is noted that the incident occurred at 6 a.m. on the waters of the Kakhovka reservoir between Kairy village and the village of Vasilevka in Kherson region.
The incident occurred oil spill – length spot is 6 km, width – 50-100 meters. It moves in the direction of the village Velyka Lepetykha, Kherson region.
According to the Ministry, specialists of Khersonresursy monitors the health of the aquatic biological resources on the site Kakhovka reservoir.
