State of emergency in Kiev, a drunken man in the hospital with a knife attacked a guard

In Solomenskiy district of Kyiv drunken man with a knife attacked a guard, one of the medical institutions.

The man managed to escape from the 31-year-old attacker at the premises of the medical institution and call law enforcement. After a few minutes the malefactor was detained.

“Man detained and delivered in territorial Department of police. Police seized from him a knife and a car. While interacting with investigators, the attacker was unable to explain the motive of his act,” – said in the message.

Data on incident are brought in eRDR (Unified register of pre-judicial investigations – ed.), Solomenskiy police Department under part 1 of article 296 of the criminal code “Hooliganism”. The attacker faces up to five years of imprisonment.
