Long-term captain “Shakhtar” Darijo Srna remains at the club until at least the end of next season.
The previous agreement Srna Shakhtar expires at the end of the current season. Hand a month before the end of the season, agreed to a new contract, which expires in the summer of 2018. It is noteworthy that the Croat signed a new contract with “Shakhtar” on the day of his 35th birthday.
“The negotiations themselves were not. I want to finish my career in Shakhtar. And when the President said offering me a new contract, I said: “Thank you!”. I agree to any conditions.

Srna is at Shakhtar since the summer of 2003. Ex-defender for the Croatian national team is the club’s record holder for number of matches played. For 14 years, Dario has conducted 524 games in which he scored 49 goals.
Srna is also a record of Shakhtar in the number of trophies. Since the appearance of the Croat at the club, the Pitmen won 22 titles, including 9 titles of Ukraine and the UEFA Cup in the 2008-2009 season.
