Spain refused NABOO in the extradition of the former people’s Deputy Onishchenko

A request for arrest was sent in December.

National trial chamber of Spain refused NABOO in the arrest and extradition of the former people’s Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko. About it the correspondent of up, said Onishchenko after the hearing.

“The court listened to the arguments of the prosecution, asked if I agree to voluntary extradition, I said no, and that my case is political persecution. The court found our arguments convincing enough to not apply to me arrest,” – said Onishchenko.

However, he declined to show reporters the decision of the court.

According to Onishchenko, the meeting lasted 1.5 hours at the court of Madrid Audiencia Nacionale.

Request to the NEB to Spain was sent in December.
