The Spanish government considers the letter Pokdemon unacceptable.
Madrid wants to hear the answer from the head of the Catalan government, Carles Pokdemon as to whether he declared last week in Parliament the independence of Catalonia, and pushes the last ultimatum.
Deputy Prime Minister of Spain, Soraya Saenz de Santamaria commented on a letter from the leader of Catalonia Carles Pokdemon to the Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, in which he gave no clear answer on independence for the region and called on Madrid to dialogue.
The Spanish government considers the letter Pokdemon inadmissible because it did not satisfy the requirement of Madrid.
“Wasn’t that hard to say “Yes” or “no,” said de Santamaria, saying that the situation is “deliberate confusion” continues.
Now the Spanish government expects that by 10:00 (local time) October 19 Pujdeme “all correct and clarify”. Soraya Saenz de Santamaria said Madrid would not preclude a dialogue, but it needs to happen within the law and with maximum clarity.
