Spain abolished the Declaration of the independence of Catalonia

The court also intends to consider the charges against the former leadership of the region.

Spain’s constitutional court decided on the abolition of the Declaration of independence of the Autonomous region of Catalonia, approved by the local Parliament on 27 October 2017.

It is reported that after consideration of the Declaration of independence of Catalonia Spain’s constitutional court decided on its abolition. The Plenum of the court referred to article 161.2 of the Spanish Constitution.

In addition, the Supreme court agreed to hear allegations against the former management of Catalonia, including the former head of the regional government of Carles Pokdemon.
