Sony is preparing to release flagship Xperia smartphone with a new frameless design.
About the plans of the Japanese manufacturer said Kenichiro Hebe, CEO of the Indian subsidiary of Sony.
“We plan to launch a new generation of products, and you can expect a completely new design from the devices,” said Kenichiro Hebe, adding that there is a trend toward frameless displays with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
While Hebe said the company is “not ready to share additional information about future updates”. Also, Director of Sony acknowledged that for several years, the style of Omnibalance Sony does not fit the modern trends of creation of smartphones.
Sony traditionally unveils its flagship phones twice a year: at the Mobile World Congress event, which takes place in the beginning of the year and at IFA in late summer. Thus, it is hoped to see a frameless smartphone Xperia in February.
