February — why and what? The Russian idea, which sees the official science, and which has long been identified by independent social thinking are three core values — Orthodoxy, collecting land and community collectivism. These start at the same time — at the turn of XIX–XX centuries — was in a period of crisis.

The gathering of lands has exhausted itself, and Russia has moved to qualitative growth, the Emperor Alexander III became the first head of state, who has not waged any wars. The pace of development of our economy, almost a third of a century — until 1918 — was the highest in the world and amounted to 7% per year. In the twentieth century Russia has entered with a claim to global leadership.

Collectivism was a social response to the erratic climate of the East European plain. Mutual aid is the Foundation of life of the peasant community. But in the early twentieth century in Russian agriculture was the agricultural revolution — use of fertilizers and power has grown significantly. The agricultural sector is to become sustainable, the farmers wanted to get out of the community and increase land plots. The Emperor heard them, the Stolypin reform.

A wide spectrum of problems was connected with the crisis of the third pillar of the Russian idea — with the crisis of Orthodoxy. The legitimacy of the government was based on the fact that the Emperor is anointed by God. Therefore, the rejection of belief of the population gave rise to the distrust of the Emperor and shook the state. The protest gave rise to terrorism and babism. F. M. Dostoyevsky warned — if there is no God, everything is permitted! Russia heard the voice of the prophet, February was a response to his warning.

23 February 1917 Europe celebrated women’s day. The population of the warring countries were on the cards. And in Russia, the agricultural sector is to work effectively, the shortage of food was not. However, at the end of February in the capital are not brought up flour for baking white bread. And angry women of Petrograd came out to protest against interruptions. Then the protest was joined by some of the capital’s workers received the day of the strike as the day of work. Part of the demoralized soldiers from the garrison, who did not want to go to the front, refused to act against strikers… on 2 March, the Emperor under pressure from the generals refused to fulfill their responsibilities and transferred power to his brother Michael. Well, Mikhail Alexandrovich announced — the fate of the country will be decided by the Constituent Assembly. If elected from the people wish to retain the monarchy, he will enter into the powers. (Michael was summarily executed by the Cheka in Perm on June 12, 1918).

Itim. The main goal of February was not the transition to the eight-hour working day, not a few political Amnesty, not the final abolition of censorship and the death penalty (in wartime!)… Everything is particular. The main objective was the convening of a Constituent Assembly, the delegates who were to elect the most democratic at the time — a universal, direct, secret and equal elections. The Russian government has embarked on a path of fundamental reform. The power passed from religious legitimation to legitimation of the civil…

From February to October, nodal points. Shaken from the revolutionary upheavals of the public order was restored by the end of April, Russia continued “war to the bitter end.” Our army kept 70 German divisions, 3,000 guns — the largest number during the war. Meanwhile, 3-5 July the Bolsheviks attempted to overthrow the Provisional government and to seize power in the country, having organized the riots. The protests in St. Petersburg were part of the operation, developed by the German General staff, the second part is an attempt, on the same days and hours to break through the Russian front. However, the Germans failed at the front, and the Bolsheviks stopped arriving from Moscow Cossacks.

The interim government, deepening democratic reforms and preparing for elections in the US, continued to operate successfully in the rear and at the front. But 25-30 Aug now right-wing forces, headed by General Kornilov, decided to put pressure on Kerensky. However, the railroad was dismantled the rails on the roads, where were going to travel and Kornilov “rebellion” was stopped.

…The expansion in the First world war to the end of 1917 was widespread. But the position of the Central powers were worse than the position of the Entente. The German Kaiser has addressed three times in Petrograd, London and Paris with a call to begin peace talks, however, confident in their victory, the allies refused. Meanwhile, in the critical situation were the army of Austria-Hungary, consisting mainly of Slavs — Czechs, Slovaks, Croats, who did not want to fight with the Russian. As a result, Vienna via Stockholm appealed to the Interim government to hold in Lodz 26 Oct separate negotiations on the withdrawal from the war. In early November, a similar step was preparing to undertake and Bulgaria.

On 25 October, a black day in Russian history. Learn about the secret plans of the allies, Berlin demanded that Lenin, the former, inter alia, the head of the German agents in Russia and received from the Germans a lot of money, for urgent action. Lenin himself was not going to give the victory Kerensky, for that he was willing to lose the war lost to the Kaiser.

Shouting “he who hesitates is lost”, Lenin and Trotsky instructed Antonov-Ovseyenko and Podvoisky to arrest the Provisional government. 25 Oct bandits of the “red guard” along with arrived in Petrograd units of the Finnish police have arrested Ministers of Kerensky (after a couple days they were released) and sat in their chair of the Bolsheviks.

Digress, will determine two key, often confused concepts — revolution and revolution. In both cases we are talking about the violation of existing laws, but…

Revolution is the result of broad civil protest. Her victory leads to the abolition of censorship, the release of political prisoners, democratic elections, I mean the twentieth and twenty-first century. (Yes, Euromaidan is, of course, revolution.) And the coup — a conspiracy of a small group of people, the victory of which gives rise to repression, censorship, a ban on democratic elections.

Russia after 25 October. On 26 October the Bolshevik Congress of Soviets committed an act of national treason, by adopting the “decree on peace”, i.e. surrender, lost the war to the Germans. (Later the Brest peace amended the paragraph about the annexation and indemnities). On 12 November, as promised by Kerensky, Lenin held elections in the US. Not having them a quarter of the votes, they are not allowed, as announced in advance, to open the meeting on November 28. In December Dzerzhinsky created the Cheka, and later, on January 18, 1918, the new authorities have allowed some of the deputies to meet in the Tauride Palace. The MPs voted for the recognition of the Soviet decrees illegal. In response, the Bolshevik N. Bukharin announced the beginning of the Civil war. Octobriana was dismissed, came to his defense Petrograders and Muscovites were shot, began the disintegration of the Russian state. To erase the memory on February, 23 February, shortly it was announced the day the red army (new style — this March 8, women’s day).

On the mass repressions, the total censorship, banning after 1917 free elections says a lot. I will add that the level of exploitation of workers in the USSR was incomparably higher than in Western countries and in historical Russia. So, “socialism in the Soviet Union” is pure hoax. In 1991 the Soviet Union collapsed.

…Some historians and many politicians, as if nothing had happened, to this day continue to talk about “the great October socialist revolution”…
