The leader of the organization “Ukrainian choice” Viktor Medvedchuk criticized the head of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory Vladimir Vyatrovich’s intention to dekommunizirovat holidays, 8 March, 1 and 9 May.
“Demonstrating a clear lack of professionalism, allowing itself to pseudo-scientific statements and manipulating historical facts, led by Viatrovych, the team tirelessly raises painful for Ukrainian society, deepening the split in the country”, – stated in the material on the site “SW”.
Medvedchuk is convinced that the true goal of the Institute is “to erase from people’s memory everything connected with the Soviet period of its history.”
The policy statement viatrovych briefly responded in his Facebook.
“There are beings with whom a much more confident feel when they attack you than when they protect you. The case of Vasyl Stus proved”, – he wrote.
In turn, social network users don’t appreciate the concern and Medvedchuk urged Vyatrovich to continue working in the same spirit.
