Ksenia Sobchak, who is going to run for President of Russia in 2018, believes that the Crimea is necessary to hold a new referendum. She stated this at a meeting with reporters in Yekaterinburg.
“Russia has violated international obligations; the main point of reference. In Crimea live Russian people, a lot of them there. (…) We cannot treat them as subjects of geopolitics. Bad the policy, which is not for the people”, – said Sobchak
“I see a way out of crisis and unjust situation through a new referendum, which involves different points of view,” she added.
The presenter noted that it did not intend to wage in the Crimea campaign.
Previously Sobchak said that Crimea is Ukrainian, from the point of view of international law. She also promised during the presidential campaign to discuss this topic.
