Unique BlackBerry smartphone Priv, made in the form factor of the “vertical slider”, is positioned as the optimal solution for business customers, and on the day of his release, he impressed everyone with its advanced filling. But time goes on and hardware component of the phone is not so impressive, plus it became known today that he will never get official update of its software.
Slider BlackBerry Priv, which is still no worthy competitor in terms of features of the case, went on sale two years ago, fall 2015, and sold initially with Android Lollipop 5.1 – the system that is already obsolete, although still supported by Google. Later, in April 2016, it went Android 6 Marshmallow, but this distribution is also not as relevant as at the time.
It would seem that the time to transfer BlackBerry Priv, taking into account the originality of its design and great stylish design to a more modern firmware, at least on Android 7 Nougat, not to mention Android 8 Oreo, but, alas, this will not happen – Android will be the sixth for this device. The reasons for this ignore in relation to Priv BlackBerry developers are not reported, and it looks doubly strange in light of the fact that the model BlackBerry KeyOne in the very near future will upgrade to Oreo.
