Tourist Connor Stapley sailed together with a group of friends kayaking along the coast of the new Zealand city Caykur.
Suddenly, a man witnessed a fight at a sea lion with a huge octopus. Fight between two sea creatures lasted almost 20 minutes. The octopus was tough.
According to Stapley, he had never seen such a large octopus. However, the man said that the sea lions love to eat such creatures and can absorb per day to seven kilograms of octopus tentacles.
“The octopus didn’t stand a chance, seriously. He is not a rival sea lion,” said the operator.
“Over the fight wound seagulls is always a sign that something is going on. We were lucky that the animals do not hurt the boat,” added Stapley.
