Shit, Gal! Indonesiska “Friday the 13th” movie, which you didn’t know

Pardon my French, but such a pun is hard to resist, because it is now going on a movie called “Srigala” – Indonesian film that came out a year after the premiere of the original slasher “Friday the 13th” (1980) and is, in fact, rip-off, that is a pathetic plagiarism is the runt of the litter.

Given that the “Friday” vengeance exploited the ideas and practices of “Halloween” by John carpenter (who, in turn, borrowed something from “Black Christmas” and not only) talking about some plagiarism in the cube already. But that’s why the proverbial “Gal” to us and interesting!

“Friday the 13th” had a stormy success at the box office, so every other horror movie of the early 80’s, can say, wanted to become the “Friday the 13th”. If in what appeared the picture of Sean S. Cunningham, it’s the fact that, with the help of a guru of makeup and special effects of Tom Savini, Cunningham added blood and violence, thus finally having the canonical basis of the sub-genre “slasher”. The same Duo had the idea of a final scene, later became the typical and expected, but at the time of the release of the film no one in the audience did not expect that at the last moment, when the escaped character is sailing a boat across the lake, from the water suddenly POPs up Jason. In fact, it was if not the first ever “Boo-from-a-corner” (gamskar how this thing is called), it is likely that the first final.

Of course, many have tried to repeat this success, which led to a short but colorful reign of the slasher at the box office. But it seems that no one tried to repeat the “Friday the 13th” is stronger than an obscure Indonesian Director Sisworo Gautama Putra. Hell, I have no idea how to read him (or her?) name, but “Gautama Putra” Stribro(a) whole scenes from the film Cunningham, even though the story still claim to some originality.

In the center of the story “Srigala” – a treasure that rests at the bottom of the lake, and a few treasure hunters who crave to be rich. At the same time off the coast of the same lake are vacationing a few young friends. And soon, the two companies collide with each other and with the mysterious evil force. The personification of evil, by the way, as in “Friday the 13th” turns out to be an old lady.

Almost all of the murder scenes and even the same gamescar finals moved from the “Friday the 13th” in “Srigala” without changes, as you can see by looking at the passage below.
