Several hundred thousand residents of Havana were without water

The two most populated district of the Cuban capital was completely cut off from the water supply.

In Havana due to a serious accident on the pipeline more than 850 thousand inhabitants of the city were deprived of water supply.

Left without water, the two most populated district of the Cuban capital is Old Havana and Central Havana. The four water supply areas are severely limited.

For accident elimination must be replaced approximately 50 metres of steel pipes. According to preliminary estimates, the production work will require five to seven days. Residents of the affected areas, water is delivered in tank trucks.

The accident on the pipeline, the capacity of which is 3 thousand liters per second that occurred during planned maintenance and that was the biggest in the last 20 years.
