Serbia has refused to impose sanctions against Russia

Serbia decided to “close their eyes” to the Crimea.

The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated that the country will not introduce sanctions against Russia due to the annexation of Crimea.

During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin Vucic confirmed that Serbia’s position in relation to the Crimea, according to which the country will not join the EU sanctions or the US against Russia.

Russian and Serbian presidents signed the agreement on re-export of Russian gas to Serbia. The agreement will be valid until 2021. By its terms Russia annually will be put to Serbia of up to 5 billion cubic meters of gas.

Recall that the European Union will finalize the continuation of economic sanctions against Russia on December 21.
