Serbia, France, Belgium and Australia – semi-finalists of the Davis Cup

Last weekend in tennis was devoted to the quarterfinal matches of the World group of the Davis Cup.

Belgium in Charleroi on hard with a score 3:2 beat Italy. The main character of the confrontation was the leader of the hosts David Goffin, consistently beat Andreas Seppi (6:4, 6:3, 6:3) and Paolo Lorenzi (6:3, 6:2, 6:2).

Australia in Brisbane on hard held early Americans. The key to the match was winning Jordan Thompson over the first racket of the guests Jack sock (6:3, 3:6, 7:6, 6:4), and Nick Kyrgios, no doubt. Serbia in Belgrade on hard easily sorted out with a backup team of Spain. Novak Djokovic defeated albert Ramos (6:3, 6:4, 6:2), and the next two points for the hosts brought Viktor Troicki.

The results of the matches of the 1/4 finals of the Davis Cup:

Belgium – Italy 3:2

Australia – USA 3:2

France – Great Britain 4:1

Serbia – Spain 4:1

September 16-17 Belgium in the semi-finals will take Australia, and the Serbs will come to visit France.
