New seat crossover will be built on the basis of SUV Skoda Kodiaq (in basis will be scalable MQB platform), its length will be approximately 4.7 m. According to the boss of the brand, Luca de MEO, the machine will be named in honor of one of the cities of Spain.
Feature of the new “SUV” will be that it will be offered in 5 – and 7-seater versions. Judging by the teaser Autocar style Seat large SUV will borrow from Ateca.
“This car will attract customers, enhance brand image and have a very big impact on our ability to generate profits. It will be designed in Barcelona and made in Germany. Production of a new SUV in Wolfsburg, the [Volkswagen group — approx. ed.], will strengthen the connection between Seat and Volkswagen,” said de MEO.
It is assumed that the engine range of the new Seat SUV will include a 1.4-litre petrol motor capacity of 150 HP and 2.0-liter 180 horsepower. The same volume and the same power will be diesel engines. Optional manufacturer will offer all-wheel drive and transmission DSG dual clutch.
Buy a new model the seat will be in 2018.
