Around the dwarf of our system revealed a ring.
A group of astrophysicists studying the small and dwarf planet in the Solar system, made an unexpected discovery.
The dwarf planet Haumea was discovered the ring consisting of gas and dust. Scientists have been watching the cluster of celestial bodies in the outer Solar system, which in the course of formation of the galaxy, not become full-fledged planets. The interest of astronomers to such objects predefined by the study of the processes of evolution of the Universe.
Rings discovered around Haumea, is not characteristic of the dwarf planet. The largest ring has a width of 70 kilometers and a radius of approximately three thousand kilometers. Now astronomers have to explain the nature of this anomaly, as unlike Saturn, Haumea has a hard surface. This means that the gas cloud was the result of yet unstudied processes. Dwarf planet makes a complete revolution around the Sun for 281 year.
