Scientists told how to quickly lower cholesterol

Experts shared powerful advice.

Scientists from Japan and the United States analyzed data from 30 studies and 19 clinical trials that have examined the consequences of a minimum of 4 weeks on a vegan diet. The analysis showed that vegetarians total cholesterol was 29.2 milligrams per deciliter of blood lower than meat eaters.

Due to the transition to a vegetarian diet the level of cholesterol in the meat-eater may be reduced by 12.5 milligrams per deciliter. According to the researchers, vegetarians eat a lot of vegetables, fruits and nuts. These foods are rich in soluble fiber, soy protein, phytosterols and contain little saturated fat. Therefore, vegetarians have low cholesterol.

As you know, high cholesterol increases the risk of problems with heart and blood vessel (ischemic heart disease, heart attack, stroke). Scientists advise people who are worried about the condition of your cardiovascular system, eat more foods of plant origin.
