Scientists predict drought in the middle East for another 10 years

The middle East is “hot” phase, and this situation will last at least 10 years.

American researchers said that the next decade drought in the middle East will continue. To such conclusion scientists have come after have analysed the climatic situation in the region over the last 130 years.

A group of researchers were able to determine what the weather conditions were in the middle East thousands of years ago.

Experts have established that the weather is changing in the region with a certain periodicity.

Precipitation or drought depend on the motion of the Earth in its orbit. The position of the planet affects the climate changes associated with the migration of oceanic flows. Examination showed that every thousand years the climate of the region varies from dry and hot to cool with a characteristic rainfall.

Experts noted that the middle East is “hot” phase, and this situation will last at least 10 years.

To learn about what the weather was many years ago, and how the climate was changing during this time, scientists managed by stalagmites formed from dripping down the walls, dripping water in caves.

Examining the composition of these stone growths, taken in the cave Calais-KORD in the North of Iran, the scientists were able to “draw” a picture of climate change.
