Scientists have warned about the giant asteroid approaching the Earth

A huge asteroid will approach Earth on July 11.

Ufa astronomer Vladilen Sanakoev also admits that this date is approximate, and the convergence can even occur a couple of days earlier.

The diameter of the space object MC4 that will go close to our planet, is 250 metres away. For an hour he covers the distance of 75 miles. At the peak of the convergence distance between the earth and the asteroid will be slightly less than three million kilometers. On a cosmic scale, it’s almost the contact approximation, but scientists calm that, in practice, this distance is not less than from the earth to the moon.

But even a collision with the planet will not be fatal for her. For comparison, the celestial body that provoked the death of the dinosaurs, the diameter reached 10 kilometers. Therefore, the MC4 will not bring harm on a planetary scale – except in the area comparable to the area of a small European country.
