Excavated Palace building was built in the Doric style of the Oder.
In the Italian city of Paestum, archaeologists have unearthed a Palace which belongs to the era of Ancient Greece.
According to archaeologists, an architectural structure more than 2.5 thousand years, it is assumed that the Palace was built in times of prosperity Poseidonia.
Poseidonia was founded by the Greek colonies from the Gulf of Taranto around the V century BC. Soon after the founding of the city passed into the power of the indigenous population of Italy, better known as lucency. Excavated Palace building was built in the Doric style of the Oder, characteristic for the specified period.
Also during the excavations there were found items of pottery in the style of the attics, which was of great importance for the whole of Greece, including Corinth, Cyclades, Boeotia and colonies in the East Aegean sea. Archaeologists were able to recover vessels that residents Poseidonia used for food and drink. The artifacts found indicate that this Palace was inhabited by representatives of large merchants or artisans.
