The dimensions of the Earth make it atypical for galaxy
Scientists-astronomers have conducted a series of studies, which made a “loud” statement about non-standard dimensions of the Earth. Its size has been recognized as absolutely atypical for the galaxy.
According to researchers, the Earth does not fit into the concept of the majority of exoplanets in the galaxy, which, in turn, are divided into two categories: gas giants and super-earths.
Under the concept of gas giants fall into such space objects as a mini-Neptune, while most of the supertall exceed the size of our planet 1.7 times. Moreover, in the vastness of the Solar system, no planet, which would be similar to Earth.
However, astronomers do not lose hope in the future to find an identical planet Earth in other solar systems, so onprogram its research activities in this direction.
