A group of scientists has discovered differences between the brains of men and women based on the results of emission computerized tomography
Article researchers under the leadership of Daniel Amen published in the journal of Alzheimer’s Disease. According to scientists, women have prefrontal cortex and limbic region was more active than the men.
The study included 119 healthy volunteers and 26 683 patients with brain injury, and bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis and attention deficit.
Scientists scanned 128 of brain areas in resting state and when performing tasks on the concentration.
SPECT revealed a difference in the circulation areas of the Central nervous system, which are most of all interested scientists.
A group of scientists said that the results obtained can explain why women more often than men, suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and depression, and men – from behavior disorders.
