Scientists have discovered a possible cause of cancer of the blood

German scientists came to the conclusion that some features in human nutrition associated with the development of pathological processes in the blood, which may develop cancer of the blood. Their study was another confirmation of how important it is for health to eat well, without restricting any food groups.

Experts from the German center for the study of cancer at the University of Heidelberg published data obtained in the course of their studies. According to these data, the development of blood cancer may correlate with a lack of vitamin A in the diet.

According to scientists, a cancer of the blood, in some cases, occurs against a background of exhaustion of the reserve of stem cells responsible for the reproduction of red blood cells (erythrocytes). This reserve, which is located in a healthy person is in “sleep” state, is used by the body in times of threat to life during illness, massive blood loss or chemotherapy. But to support it is necessary to obtain a sufficient amount of retinoic acid, which is associated with the production of vitamin A.

“For stable replacement of stem cells is extremely important retinoic acid. Without this acid, the stem cells will not be able to return to the sleep phase, will begin to degenerate in normal blood cells, and thus is dissipated reserve of the body, ” explained the researchers.

To preserve the body’s reserve of stem cells, doctors are advised to eat foods that are a source of vitamin A. Recall that suppliers in the diet is the liver, butter, milk, egg yolks, and brightly colored – red, green , orange and yellow fruits and vegetables.
