Scientists have changed the approach to search for alien life

The study may further affect the search for life on nearby planets.

According to a new study, evidence of alien life may be hidden from prying eyes atmosphere airflow patterns. The study may further affect the search for life on nearby planets.

Scientists know that biological life on Earth radically changed the atmosphere of our planet, contributing to the creation of the ozone layer and adding a protective shell, many other biological markers. To search for possible life by calculating biomarkers astronomers use powerful Observatory such as the James Webb Space Telescope, for example.

Closest to the Ground of a possible exoplanet Proxima b are at a distance of 4.25 light-years away, the most interesting planet to explore TRAPPIST-1d is 40 light years, scientists and chosen for their research.

The main problem of both planets is that there is on one side permanently day and the other permanent night, which complicates many calculations. The scientists used a computer simulation of flow of atmospheric air of potentially habitable planets and found that exoplanets can have air flow, which are atmospheric components (ozone and other biomarkers) from the polar regions to the equator, and there they are harder to catch.

This atmospheric quirk harms not only the scientists who are trying to find proof of alien life, but can also harm life on exoplanet (whatever it was primary or populated) as the ozone layer performs a protective function, protecting the planet from the Sun.

If new research is correct, that the capture of ozone and biomarkers at the equator may be a poor indicator of the habitability of planets. However, the team of researchers stressed that even if the atmosphere of these exoplanets so dramatically different from the Earth, as suggested by the modeling life can be concentrated in the Equatorial regions.
