According to scientists from the UK, they managed to find the biggest mint ever existed in Europe.
We are talking about one of the cities founded during the prosperity of the Roman Empire.
Experts conducted a planned archaeological dig in North Yorkshire when I stumbled on a site that hides under the ground of about 1400 fragments of prints, is intended for casting gold, silver and copper coins. Scientists have suggested that the unique site could be one of the richest Roman settlements, records, or references which until today has not survived. According to preliminary data, the town of the massive torque courtyard was founded in the 60th year BC. It is noted that the inhabitants of the town lived there for only 20-30 years, and then moved to another location.
Currently, the site continue to scrutinize the archaeologists. It has been called “the most ancient settlement of the Romans ever found in the UK”.
