Scientists announced a new giant flying to the Earth asteroid

Scientists report on a new huge asteroid flying towards the Earth.

Already 22 October 2017, it will approach our planet at the maximum distance. However, the researchers claim that the probability of its fall on our planet, is extremely low.

Called the space body 171576 (1999 VP11). The size is more than one thousand meters, which is commensurate with the size of the Chinese Holy mountain, Laoshan. Such large dimensions give the right the asteroid considered to be the largest cosmic body at the end of 2017. Scientists intend to closely monitor its movement. Though the chances that it will fall to the Ground very small, however there is a small chance that the next approximation to our planet, its orbit will change.

In this case, it may fall to the Ground and create problems of a larger scale. On 22 October, the day 1999 VP11 will approach our planet at maximum distance, it will be easy to see with radio telescopes and IR spectroscopy.
