SBU came to search for a TV channel owned by Kolomoisky because of wiretaps

The security service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted searches in the building owned by the billionaire Ihor Kolomoisky television channel “1+1”, UNIAN reports with reference to head of the Department of journalistic investigations “1+1 Media” Maxim Shilenko. According to the Agency, in the office, where a search of the journalists working projects “Groshi” and “Secret materials”.

“RBC-Ukraine” with reference to the employees of the TV channel reports that searches related to the case of wiretapping of the Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk. In particular, the SBU suspects that working in “1+1” Evgeniy Kuksin posted a controversial entry in the Internet.

Law enforcement officers also came to searches in apartments of journalists of the program “Secret materials”.

The head of the security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov later confirmed that searches are connected with the case of wiretapping.

“About any pressure on journalists of TV channel “1+1″ or the oppression of freedom of speech in Ukraine in this situation it is not. And can not go in principle. We’re talking about impartial and comprehensive investigation of the criminal case about illegal listening to the head of the government”, — quotes Bakanova, senior country economist of RBC-Ukraine.

The head of the SBU noted that the relevant investigative actions on this case was conducted in respect of Ministers, representatives of the government. Some officials, according to him, agreed to pass the test on the lie detector and all, without exception, reacted to this situation with understanding.

Controversial record and his resignation

Audio recordings supposedly of the closed meeting of the Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank, where he called himself the head of state “profane” in the economy, Ukrainian media published on January 16.

RBC with reference to close to Ukrainian government sources suggested that the drain can be involved representatives of the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who has interests in the real sector of Ukraine’s economy and were dissatisfied with their influence on the government under the current Premier.

A day later the Prime Minister wrote a letter of resignation, however, Zelensky had not accepted it.

The President also demanded from law enforcement agencies to establish involved in recording conversations and earn the necessary measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
