About said the head of Sberbank German Gref in an interview with CNBC.
“We are very much invested in Ukraine, and forces and means, and built, in my opinion, the best Ukrainian Bank, as mentioned time and again the national Bank of Ukraine. And emotionally, we, of course, very hard to leave Ukraine, because there we have about 6 thousand of our employees, which over the last 10 years we have invested a lot of labor,” he said.
The head of Sberbank said that currently the deal is not yet complete as it still has not received permission from the National Bank of Ukraine.
He expressed hope that the deal will be approved by the Ukrainian Central Bank, as the prospects of further work in Ukraine Sberbank of Russia does not see.
“I think it would be a pity both for us and for Ukraine”, – said the head of Sberbank.
Recall that the national Bank on 10 April received from said Gutserieva the documents for the purchase of 77,5% of actions of the savings Bank.
April 14 was also obtained documents from Grigory Guselnikova to purchase 22.5% stake in the Bank.
Currently the owner of Sberbank is Sberbank of Russia.
According to the NBU, on April 1 in terms of assets the Bank occupied 7-e a place (42,9 billion UAH) among 90 active banks.
