The extension of the sanctions agreed, but adoption is expected June 19.
Permanent representatives of countries-members of EU are ready to extend sanctions against Crimea, but the formal decision is expected on 19 June, reported Tuesday RIA Novosti source in the EU Council.
Sanctions against the Crimea are valid until 23 June.
“Permanent representatives today adopted a decision to extend the sanctions for a year without any changes. If nothing will change, the foreign Affairs Council will approve this decision at the next meeting (19 June),” — said the Agency interlocutor.
He noted that the foreign Ministers will formally approve the extension of sanctions without discussion.
Earlier, the US Ambassador said that sanctions against Russia will continue.
