This year the manufacturer has decided not to release the flagship with “flat” display.
It is possible that in the end, Samsung will make a smartphone whose screen will “wrap” the body from all sides. This is evidenced by the new patent the South Korean giant. It describes a smartphone with a display on the front, rear and side parts. Interestingly, the side faces in this case are used to access applications.
It should be noted that in the current Samsung smartphones, you can find the earlier version presented in the patent concept. We are talking about a special menu with quick access to useful applications and functions swipe from the folded edge. In the case with a smartphone, whose screen will be on all sides, the user can swipe to the sides to display applications on the front or back side.
Many wonder how Samsung intends to resolve the issue with the thickness of the device. Modern smartphones are thin enough, and if you place the side of the display with icons, they will be very small. It is possible that this is just another investing in the future of foldable phones, the release of which was delayed until 2019.
