Samsung made the largest purchase in its history

Today, Samsung Electronics announced completion of the previously announced acquisition of Harman International Industries (Harman).

Under the agreement, Harman stockholders would receive $ 112 per share. The total amount of the transaction is $ 8 billion, making it the largest acquisition in the history of Samsung. The transaction took place after you complete all the required conditions, including obtaining shareholder approval Harman and regulators in the U.S. and other countries, whose interests it affected.

In connection with the completion of the deal, shares of Harman are removed from the auction. Now the company will operate as a subsidiary of Samsung, led by its own Board of Directors. The new owner intends to maintain the headquarters, all staff, production resources and trademarks of Harman.
