Samsung registered in South Korea trademark Galaxy X. registration Information posted on the website of Information service of Korea on intellectual property rights.
The application is not revealed information about the upcoming product. Rumored to be called Galaxy X, the company plans to release the first smartphone with folding or foldable display.
In November 2016, the network got a new Samsung patent application, which describes the design of the Galaxy X. According to the documents, the hinge mechanism will pass through the center of the body, and mechanism design resembles a laptop Microsoft Surface Book. Also, the patent indicates that the Galaxy X will be an auxiliary screen that is activated when the phone is folded.
It is expected that the phone will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor or Exynos 835 8995 and six gigabytes of RAM. Also, it is equipped with two cameras on 13 and 12 megapixels.
It was expected that the presentation of the Galaxy X will be held in late 2016. However, due to problems with the model Galaxy Note announcement 7 flexible smartphone postponed to the end of 2017.
