The politician admitted that the Ukrainian authorities can snatch it away at the border.
The ex-President of Georgia, former head of the Odessa regional state administration Mikhail Saakashvili said on air of the Georgian TV company Rustavi 2, as will be his return to Ukraine, scheduled for September 10.
Earlier, Saakashvili said that legally return to Ukraine on 10 September through a customs checkpoint Krakovets.
“I know that I will meet thousands of my Ukrainian citizens. I said that a few thousand of the Ukrainian citizens residing in Poland, also want to go through the border with me, but I don’t want any incidents. On the border I will meet Ukrainian opposition politicians. I do not exclude that with me cross the border and MEPs”, − Saakashvili said.
Answering the question, considering the scenario of the arrest at the border and extradition to Georgia, where he initiated several criminal cases, the politician said that despite the strengthening of the border with Poland barbed fences and armored vehicles, he’ll cross the Ukrainian-Polish border, as it has that right.
“My detention at the border is not such a simple topic. The only thing that can make the current Ukrainian authorities is to kidnap me and smuggle to Georgia, but it will be a criminal offence for which you will have to answer anyone who will do it”, − Saakashvili said.
However, he noted that he is not afraid of a long process of extradition to Georgia and does not claim the post of the President of Ukraine.
