Russia’s international reserves exceeded $540 billion

Международные резервы России перевалили за $540 млрд

The volume of international reserves of the Russian Federation increased from October 25 to November 1, 2019 $3 billion to $542,9 billion, follows from materials of Bank of Russia.

Recall that a week earlier, the reserves are “enriched” by $2.7 billion to $1.8 billion, prior to $2.5 billion.

It clarifies the regulator, the reserves have increased “mainly due to positive revaluation and purchase of foreign currency in the framework of the budget rules.”

Last month, Russia’s international reserves increased by 0.3% — from $529,083 billion on September 1 to $530,923 billion on October 1, 2019.

Note that for 2018, the international reserves were replenished by 8.3% to $468,495 billion on January 1, 2019.

Historic low on reserves was recorded April 2, 1999 ($10.7 billion), the absolute maximum was achieved on 8 August 2008 ($598.1 billion).

We also add for comparison that China’s foreign exchange reserves, the largest in the world by the end of October 2019 increased by 0.4% to $3 trillion of 105.2 billion, compared with $3 trillion to 92.4 billion in September.
