Russians rushed to get married after release from quarantine

In addition, it was found that frequency of purchase of wedding outfits turned out to be 37 per cent lower than last year. The analysts have noticed a sharp jump in sales compared with the may figures: Russians rushed to marry, and the demand has increased by 234 percent.

The average bill for a wedding bouquet exceeded last year by 9 percent and the may figure by 12 percent and amounted to 1762 ruble. The number of purchases exceeded sales in may more than quadrupled.

In addition to buying engagement rings residents of Russia in June spent an average of 6609 rubles, which is 4 percent more than in 2019. After release from quarantine the number of purchases was 10 per cent higher than in may. It is noted that in June also increased the demand for champagne.
