In 2017, Vkontakte, Sberbank and a number of other companies launch their own virtual mobile operators, and probably will follow their example and other major brands. However, according to statistics, the Russians do not really want to use the services of such operators, preferring proven Big Three.
The information provided States that the share of virtual operators in Russia accounts for only 1.5 percent of the total cellular market of the country. Experts attribute this to low prices on Telecom services from major operators, but it’s hard to believe, especially after the introduction of the new tariffs, MTS, Beeline and MegaFon. Probably this will spur the development of their virtual competitors, but so far their share is 1.5 percent, and no more.
Let us add that even the Railways, instead of having to develop its core activities and to stop, finally, to use in passenger cars 50 years ago, agreed with Tele2 on creation of own virtual operator. Sberbank, also uses the power of Tele2, while Vkontakte preferred Megaphone. Fortunately, the Post of Russia is not planning to provide telecommunication services: just imagine, all callers are in the queue to call, and every day from 13 to 14, the connection stops working because the lunch.
