Honored artist of Russia, pianist Michael Klein died in Irkutsk during the creative evening, dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the birth of St. innocent of Moscow.

“I was sitting in the front row and saw that Mikhail Leonidovich became ill, ran to him. Among the spectators were two chief doctor of the Irkutsk clinics, they in turn began to massage the heart. Half an hour later they were both wet from tension and fatigue. But the ambulance, I called at 19:48, arrived only in 40 minutes – at 20:28. They just pronounced him dead,” – said the head of the city Department of culture Vitaly Baryshnikov.
Baryshnikov added that during artificial heart massage Klein began periodically to breathe, and even rebounding. And maybe if the ambulance arrived on time, the musician’s life could be saved.
He performed an improvisation on the theme of Russian songs when it became bad with heart. For 45 years he worked at the Philharmonic and literally to the last breath served the music, – said the head of city Department of culture.
Farewell to the honored artist of Russia Mikhail Klein will be held on 7 October in the foyer of the concert hall of the Philharmonic of the city of Irkutsk.
