The portal WikiLeaks has published the first documents about surveillance by the secret services over mobile networks in the framework of announced series Spy Files of Russia (“Spy files of Russia”).
This is evidenced by information on the WikiLeaks website.
Note that the first publication of 209 portal contains documents covering the period from 2007 to 2015. These documents speak about the Russian company “Peter-Service”, founded in 1992 in St. Petersburg as a supplier of billing solutions.
WikiLeaks reports that soon “Peter-Service” has become a major supplier of software for the mobile telecommunications industry in Russia. Now the company has offices in Russia and Ukraine.
According to WikiLeaks, “Peter-Service” cooperates with Russian special services. The company’s products provide access to data about subscribers, including call logs, text messages, device IDs, IP addresses and information about cell towers.
