Russian defense Ministry: foreigners prepare an information attack on the leadership of the Russian army

First Deputy defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov said that foreign governments prepare an information attack on the leadership of the Russian army. He told about it in interview to the newspaper “Red star”.

“Today we have reliable information that the individual States through specific media conducted a coordinated operation aimed at discrediting the Russian authorities, politicians, public figures and journalists. At the same time in the near future is expected to strengthen the media pressure directed against members of the Armed Forces of Russia at all levels of command connections, associations, the armed forces and of the Armed Forces to direct military and political leadership,” said Tsalikov.

He added that the defense Ministry will not allow the implementation of the “ideas and plans to discredit the Russian army” and will deal with them “open”.

RBC recalls that six months ago, in June, the defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov has already warned that foreign countries are preparing an information campaign to pressure the military leadership of Russia.
