At the next meeting of the International biathlon Union (IBU), Russia was deprived of the right to host the world Cup.
On the basis of the second part of the report of the head of the independent Commission WADA Richard McLaren Russia at the end of December had already lost two major international start – the world Cup in Tyumen and the Junior world championship in the Island.
Now, the international biathlon Union and got to the world Cup 2021, which was held in Tyumen. The IBU could not ignore the problem of doping in the Russian biathlon, and through sanctions took bold steps to cleanse the sport in Russia.

Russia has no plans to voluntarily give up the world championship in Tyumen. The President of the Russian biathlon Union Alexander Kravtsov did not rule out that their rights of the RBU will be to defend in court.
