Russia will increase by 30% the number of recruits from the Crimea

Conscripts from Crimea will be sent to serve in the army in all the regions neighboring Russia.

In 2017, the army will almost 5 thousand young Crimean, which is a thousand people more than last year. This was stated by the head of the organizational-mobilization Department of the headquarters of the southern military district the General-major Andrey Kolesov.

“This spring in the Crimea will encourage 2.4 thousand people, of which 400 guys are Sevastopol. In comparison with the year 2015 the number of recruits this year will increase by 70% since two years ago the army took only 1.5 thousand Crimean residents”, – said Kolesov

30 March the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the Decree “On the appeal in April – July 2017 the citizens of the Russian Federation on military service and about dismissal from military service of the citizens passing military service on an appeal”.
