Canada is ready to impose sanctions against the Kremlin.
The lower house of the Parliament of Canada adopted the equivalent of the Magnitsky act, approved in the United States.
The law still needs to be approved in the upper house – the Senate, after that it will come into effect.
Press Secretary of the foreign Ministry of Russia Maria Zakharova said that “the anti-Russian sanctions from the authorities of Canada will not remain unanswered”.
