The leader of the Russian political forces of the “Left front” Sergei Udaltsov was released from prison in Tambov region of the Russian Federation. This was announced by the wife of Russian opposition activist Anastasia on his page in Facebook.
“He (Udaltsov – Ed.) sends huge greetings and thanks for the support, optimism and positive emotions”, – said Anastasia.
According to Anastasia, it was expected that her husband will release on 9 August, but this information was incorrect.
Thus, Udaltsov has fully served the appointed time for the case of organizing mass riots. The oppositionist was sentenced to 4.5 years in a General regime colony.
Guilt at trial, Udaltsov was not recognized.
