Russia’s permanent representative to the UN called the idea of peacekeepers in the Donbass, the failure of the Minsk agreements.
Permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia said that the “reasoning” of Kiev about the need for a peacekeeping mission in the Donbas is aimed at undermining the Minsk agreements.
“A UN peacekeeping operation in the Donbas our colleagues from Kiev was mentioned more than once. Recently, President Petro Poroshenko said that will put this issue at the UN General Assembly. Whether or not we’ll see. To date, we have only two formats that discuss settlement in Ukraine is the “Normandy format” and contact group”, – said postpred to the UN.
According to Nebenzu, other formats for the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis does not exist now.
